Mock mode simulation

Before the registry launches (July 2026), DPP Cloud simulates the full lifecycle:

  • 0โ€“30 seconds after submission: status shows Submitted
  • 30โ€“90 seconds: status shows Validating with a spinner
  • After 90 seconds: status shows Registered and a mock ID is assigned (e.g. EU-DPP-2026-XXXXXXXX)

This lets you test and understand the complete submission flow before the live registry exists.

What to do if your submission is rejected

1

Read the error

DPP Cloud shows the specific error code, field name, and a plain-English explanation on the passport detail page.

2

Fix the issue

Click Fix and resubmit to scroll to the relevant field. Update the data and save.

3

Resubmit

Click Submit to EU Registry again from the passport detail page.

Common rejection reasons

VALIDATION_ERROR: A required Annex XIII field is missing or incorrectly formatted. Check all mandatory fields are complete and correctly formatted.

DUPLICATE_IDENTIFIER: Your passport number is already registered by another operator. Use a unique passport number.

OPERATOR_NOT_REGISTERED: Your Operator ID is not recognised by the registry. Check the ID in Settings.

SCHEMA_MISMATCH: The passport was built against an outdated Annex XIII schema. DPP Cloud will notify you when a schema update is available.
